Title: A Sad Day....
Post by: East_TX_Spa on August 04, 2006, 04:50:55 pm
My little girl is heading off for college. :'(

She's going to be an Oklahoma State Cowgirl.

Goodbye, sweet girl.

Nice looking kid-

Where'd she get all that hair?

Bet you taught her well how to take care of herself.
She'll be fine.

Most of us parents have gone through the same thing, Term.  Remember, she's only a phone call away.

I thought it was a 'code of the West' that a Texas girl couldn't go to college in Oklahoma and visa versa?

not to worry, her ammo bag looks like it's chock full of high caliber goodness, and I'm sure she's learned how to fend off the wanna-be's from an early age! Just make sure she carries around at least $20 worth of ammo at all times, and has a black belt, a shovel, and knows the #1 rule of all time:
NO WITNESSES.

Ooops!  That's not my daughter.  That's my hydrotherapy technician Hannah who stopped by to say adios on her way to college.  I thought ya'll would recognize her, but I guess she looks different with clothes on.  I'm sorry for the unintended deception. :-[

My daughter's going into 3rd grade.

I can't believe I'm the one who actually recognized her "with clothes on."

Sheesh.

;)

BUT - now that you brought it up - my daughter
(REAL DAUGHTER)
and the spousal unit are on their way to Orlando Floriduh on Sunday. She advanced to the Nationals in a Teen Talent/Fine Arts Festival our denomination sponsors - and she is going to spend the week there with thousands of other teens from all over.

Why is this in this thread? Because she has found a college that she wants to attend over in Lakeland. OMG. She couldn't get much farther away! I have such mixed emotions: proud that she is geting excited and ready for college, but sad at the thought of not having her right here for snugglin lovin' and smilin' every day!

'Scuse me while I go find her and hug her.

Just remember my OSU can kick your OSU's butt, and recently did.  Next up revenge on Texas.   I'm sympthetic though, my daughter will probably move 100 miles from home soon.

I'm sure someone has already said it, but she looks a lot more like her mother.

Well, it appears you look one hell of a lot older than you think. Must be the stress of selling problematic Hot Spring Spas, from unresponsive Watkins Mfg.  ;)

OK, lets see map quest OSU...... later!

Term, ya putz.....pullin' legs like that and all.....well, in that case, equip the girl with $20 worth of ammo, a high power pistol, a bag of M&M's, shovel and a passport, "just in case".

I was just about to ask where the bikini was.

It's not very much like you to post pictures of pretty girls in jeans.   :)

Wisoki,

She will be in Stillwater, Oklahoma, home of Eskimo Joe's, too (and Hideaway Pizza)!

Term,

You are too funny!!!  I was going to ask if you had a "Soap Opera Daughter"--one day they are 10 and a week later they are graduating high school!!!   ;)
