Two of the spas we are checking out are Hot Springs and Jacuzzi.
As a 25+ year owner of swimming pools, I can appreciate the function of a skimmer on a large outside pool.
But is it necessary for a spa that's covered 23 hrs a day (especially one that is installed indoors)?
What are the pros and cons of the skimmer filter systems of HS, compared to the netted system of the Jacuzzis?
Has anyone here owned both types?

Both are very good spas and the filtration works well on both. Concentrate on how the spa feels to you......wet test, wet test, wet test. Good luck....... 8)

John,
I trust you are not an accountant?

I've already wet tested both and made a decision as far as that goes, but...
What I am looking for is daily maintenance and service, real long-term experiences that can not be determined on a sales floor.
Are skimmers more prone to suck air into the pumps at low water levels? Are the Jacuzzi debris nets fragile or hard to clean? Which system is quieter? Which filter cover is easier to accidentally knock off or damage?

LOL! ;D
After I get this new tub, that's probably what my friends and neighbors will be thinking!
