Post by: hair on February 26, 2005, 06:59:39 pm
hi, just checking out the new catalina xl 23000. it looks sweet with 90 jets and 3-4hp pumps.  but i hear pros and cons with this company just like any other.  the price is right, but is it a good quality product or just crap glitzed up to look like high quality?

One thing to understand with Catalina is the fact their warranty is prorated. There is nothing wrong with this as long as you understand it ahead of time when you're comparing it to other warranties.

You know where I stand on this... :-[

As you are aware, there are a few brands that dress up real pretty. BUT...

Remember one thing, beauty is only skin deep ;D

do any of you actually own a catalina?  what do you dealers think of d-1 spas and jacuzzi premium spas.  cause i heard dealers say the exact same thing about those brands too. honest.  seems like every dealer says that his brand is the best and always has some negative thing to say about an opposing brand the consumer is interested in.  truth.  as for the warranty issued on catalina, a 100% 5 years extra warranty is available for peanuts.

hair,

In your region, there are 4 major brands to consider;

Marquis, Artesian, Sundance, Hot Springs, not neccessarily in that order, although based on what I sell, it would be.

This of course is only my opinion. But, you're right, everyone has their "favorite" brand. Most dealers stick to their conviction of why they sell the brand, they truly believe that it is the BEST.

It is now up to you to rid yourself of the dealers that could care less about your real needs and concerns, I think you know who I'm talking about.

The only one who can make the right decision is YOU. YOU need to get together with a dealer that YOU feel comfortable with, wet test their model that YOU are interested in and move on it.

YOU are the only one who can tell YOU what YOU and your family will like.

Remember, YOU will own your decision for a long, long time. Good luck in YOUR search for the right spa. ;D

vin,

It's like the Jefferson's," MOVIN' ON UP".

That is where Artesian is going...

Look at Hot Spring 5 out of 5 in in Consumer Digest Best Buys. That isnt a salesman saying his product is the best, its an outside source saying its the best.
