Title: Water Change
Post by: matthewc on December 16, 2004, 04:38:20 pm
Hi Guys

If after three months my water is still crystal clear do I need to change it, or should I wait until I see signs of deteriation? I don't want to waste water.

Matt

Your probably fine to go a few more months. It's not standard for everyone, usage varies from family to family.

If your dealer tests your TDS and keeps recoeds of it, they should be able to tell you if your getting close to water change time.

Thanks Guys

However my problem is that all of my local dealers have just set-up in buisness and seem to know less than me. Can I test the TDS myself? Or can I just go by visual quality of the water?

Matt

You may like to invest in a TDS meter. I bought one for $40.00 from a company trading on Ebay who specialize in water testing equipment.

We use our tub (four people) for around an hour every night. We find that it takes us around 4 weeks to hit the 1500 TDS mark.

Come on Chas! this is usually where you would chime in with a really cool picture of a TDS meter and where we could buy them...... You sleepin' or something? ;) ;D
