Title: Price for a 2004 Vanguard
Post by: hawkman on November 29, 2004, 11:22:39 am
I've been quoted $7,700 ($8,000 with tax) for a 2004 Vanguard in Pearl, with OZ, Cover, Lifter, and Steps. It doesn't seem much off the normal price in Virginia. What do you think?

I think it depends on whether your dealer is the type that jacks up the price and then lowers it to make it APPEAR that you're getting a great deal or whether your dealer prices moderately and for that reason it appears you're not getting a big price break. It'll be interesting to see what others say on this board who know pricing for Hot Springs.

I bought mine 4 weeks ago, paying about $7,200. This included spa (Pearl), OZone - Everfresh System, cover with lifter, steps, starter kit with chemicals, and the GFI box (we had to run power to it).

This price was offered by the sales person when we where checking them out. List price was supposed to be about $7,700.

In 2003 (August) I paid $7,600 for my Vanguard.  Pearl, w/ozone, everfresh system, and cover lifter (mine was tax free, but it was a special promotion, the town was having a tax free sale).

It really depends on where you are in the country.  The way you phrased your question, I take it you are not in Virginia.  Don't take prices from other parts of the country as set in stone.

I'm in Oklahoma.  I don't know what they run this year, but I think you are getting a good deal.

Hawkman, that's a good price - If you've decided that's the tub for you, buy it.  You won't regret it!

We bought ours (Vanguard, pearl, oz, etc, etc) late June and fired it up first week of Aug.  At Lori's suggestion I bought the hydropulse plate about a month later.  It's great and you should consider adding it.  (I wonder what would happen if you show up at lunch time tomorrow, checkbook open, date a check, & offer to fill it out if they throw in a hydro pulse plate at the price they've quoted? .  .  .it's only about a $30 retail item, I bet you'll own a hottub)

Good luck, hope you can be soaking by Xmas!

I paid just over 9k for mine. I checked several dealers in my area and this was the average price. HS is more expensive but is by far the best made spa
