Title: Northern Lights

After a long day of completing a number of jobs in preparation for winter, we were treated to a beautiful display of northern lights tonight while soaking in the tub.  Probably about the best I have seen.  

Another great benefit of a hot tub.

I agree with you there Dave. Guess how many times you missed that show prior to owing your spa? ???

Makes the bickering about posting pricing on spas in the showroom seem futile doesn't it. Who cares because once you have your spa, the world seems to be at peace. Many here forget the many positive aspects of owning a spa. They don't promote them, but rather dwell on the negitives constantly. Drives me nuts because if I came to this site now, I doubt I would make the purchase due to the negative feel.

Your post brings it all back into perspective and I thank you for that!

So jealous here Dave! How far north are you? Canadian? Sounds lovely, we have been enjoying the stars and kind of waiting for the first snowfall. ( the first is always the prettiest, but then harsh, cold reality sets in)

It was one of the best I have seen in a while, but not tops on my list of most impressive light shows. Here in Northern Minnesota we have been treated many times this past year and the most impressive was in August while camping at Bear Island Lake in Ely MN.

The show was prounounced, but not the best I have ever seen in Columbus, Ohio.  A little bit out of town it was a good show.   Here is a view from 5 miles north of my house.

I was in my office at 10PM last night working when the phone rang.  It was a customer, I thought oh great somethings wrong with their tub!  They were just calling me from their hot tub while they were watching the lights!  I thinks the booze was talking to me as they were telling me how great the spa is, LOL!!!

Nice pic!  We live about 3 miles east of a large casino complex.  Most of our night sky is obscured by their high intensity light show.

Boom truck, ha!  LOL!!!  God knows if I could I would!  My bulldozer is enough for my neighbors!!!LOL!!!

Yea well, from my hot tub at night sometimes we get a nice reflection of the moon trying to shine through the smoke coming from the steel mills smoke stacks.  And when it does shine through it is so pretty.....  it almost brings a tear just thinking about it.

Yeah......and that gas mask must fog up quite a bit too........ ;)

No, A real man doesnt need a gas mask.  A real man sits in his hot tub and breathes in deep whatever air mother nature gives him.
Just because you can see the air coming doesnt mean anything.  Sometimes it helps cuz you can dodge out of the way.  :)
