Title: New tub start-up
Post by: Mark55 on October 17, 2004, 02:13:36 pm
Just filled and turned on new tub "Optima"added stain and scale control and I'm going to use bromine.
I know I have to shock and add bromine tablets.Should I wait till water heats up some? Its about 55 degrees now.
Can anyone share about how long it will take to heat up to 102? Thanks Mark (not that I'm anxious or anything :D)

Lots of factors, but from what I know of the optima I'd guestimate 9 hours.

Do not add product until the water reaches 70-80. Powders tend to dissolve much better at this point.

Hi Mark55,
Congrats on your new spa!!! I don't understand why your dealer isn't right there by your side filling that beautiful spa and showing you exactly how and when to add your watercare products? Was this service not offered by your local dealer, or do you have special circumstances that prevented this from happening?

I'm wondering because our Dealership insists on providing a full on site orientation for each of our clients. I find that this service goes a long way towards helping new clients get into their comfort zone and reduces the intimidation factor. Good Luck and Have Fun!!!
