Title: Spa purge question

I am going to fill my tub and then purge it, drain it and refill. Do I need to balance the water or heat it up to purge it, or should I be good to run the spa purge as soon as the tub is filled?

Depending on the purge, I think most work better with warmer water and a bit of chlorine.  Wouldn't worry about ph, alk, ch.
