Well tomorrow will be one month with our tub and time to do a solution cleaning. The cleaning product at the tub store is $10.95 CDN for 1 litre so I would get to months out of it. I have heard that people use TSP and that it is the exact same as the cartridge cleaning solution you buy at the spa stores. Is this true. I can get 4 litres of TSP for $5.95 so 4 months worth. I would be worried that it would cause damage to the filters and tub. I am buying an extra set of filters so I can do a swap each month.
Thanks for you help in advance

Never heard of TSP, cant really comment. Can you elaborate?

Some folks use TSP to clean filters. I prefer filter cleaner made for the purpose. I use a filter flask and keep my filter cleaner solution for four months. I clean my filters on a monthly basis.

I'd follow Tony's advice. In the grand scheme of things the cleaner will cost you little and do a good job of getting your filter clean. One thing to add, make sure you do a very, VERY thorough job on your final rinse so you don't get any cleaner in the spa.

Something else I have noticed...don't soak them too long. The detergents in the solution can eat away the plastic of the filters. You will notice this because blue junk will continue to gunk up your filters.

My dealer instructed us to soak in bleach over night.
Is this good or should we get the filter cleaner?
Should you rinse inside out or vis-versa.

To follow up on Spatech tuo's post, the worst foam problem I ever had was the first time I cleaned my filter and didn't get all the cleaner out. It took forever to get rid of that. Come to think of it, that was the only time I needed to use foam down.
