Title: 1 rusty colored filter 1 white

I have a 2 filter hot tub. I changed my filters the other day and one filter was rusty colored the other was oure white still. The one that was rusty is the one that the circulation pump pulls through. The water is crystle clear in the tub. Both filters sit in the same water why is one rusty colored one pure white still. Both filters where brand new 2 months ago when i put them in.

Cosmetics and other personal hygiene products, and the fact that 95% of the water filtered is going through one filter.

What would be the best way to clean it. Or the best product to use to help clean it.

You should have cleaned it a long time ago.  My well water has rust in it, and the filters collect the rust within 8 hours of a new fill.  I just hosed off my filters with a hose, and they came clean.  Check out my link here:http://www.whatsthebest-hottub.com/forum/index.php/topic,17465.0.html
