Title: Is it possible to disable the Waterfall?
Post by: mattyj45 on January 18, 2016, 09:30:12 am
I believe I have a slow leak in my hot tub that is related to the waterfall. I know you can turn the waterfall off by turning the valve on the side of the tub but I have water coming out of that valve as I think the rubber gasket needs to be replaced to create a good seal. Is there a way to turn the flow to the waterfall off altogether until I can get someone out here to have a look at the leak?

Thanks,

Matt

It's a 2006 Sundance Cameo 880.

You can disable the waterfall by turning the round valve next to it that looks like it has a volume symbol on it.  Turn it clockwise until there is no water coming out of the waterfall.

Yes I am aware you can use that valve to turn it off. What I am looking for is a way to shut the water off that goes to the waterfall by way of the pump or something of that nature. I am looking for a way to stop the water from even making it to the waterfall.

Ah, didn't see that in the original post.  You can adjust the time that the circulation pump runs on the spa side.  Press the Cycle button until Circ appears on the screen.  Press the Select button twice and adjust that number down as low as it will go.

Ok great I will try that in the mean time. Will doing that to the circulation pump negatively affect the spa in some way?

Thanks

Matt

Nah.  It will just filter less until you get a new gasket.
