Title: New tub owner in London, ON
Post by: JBarrett on January 10, 2016, 06:58:52 pm
Hi, been reading lots of archived posts, many of which were very informative. We'd still like to find a reliable resource in our area for chemical maintenance, best practices etc...

I would educate yourself on water chemistry, and do it yourself with household chemicals.  That way you don't have to rely on anyone, you will have piece of mind that your water is "right", and you will save money.  This is the method I am using, and it works.

I would suggest going to poolspaforum dot com , forums, and then "hot tub water chemistry".  There are "pinned" threads that have all the information you need to know about your hot tub water.

I used bromine for our first fill, and have switched to the dichlor/bleach method since.  Water is sparkling clear, lasts a long time, and costs us about $8/month (which is 2 gallons of Chlorox bleach).

Good luck.
