Title: The traveling circus may be in town
Post by: wmccall on October 16, 2015, 05:09:28 pm
Its a very busy weekend here in Columbus and I'm surprised they show up this weekend. But maybe that is why they are in an outdoor venue?

I may have to check it out.

I went to one of these. They advertised it as an "expo" with "all the major brands" so we thought it would be a great chance to check out more than one Mfr at one location (kind of like an auto show). Ah, no. They were only selling Dynasty spas, and it was super high-pressure with a greeter who took your name and tried to get you to sit down with a "factory rep" (AKA high-pressure closer) and make you buy a spa today because they'll be double the price after this weekend!!!

Of course we didn't buy anything, then we looked up reviews of Dynasty when we got home. My husband now refers to them as "Die Nasty" after reading all the negative reviews. :)

Ive always considered them a value line but not that bad. Less expensive than the big guys but slightly lower quality also.

Are they that bad?

I had one for 10 years and it was an OK tub, fairly common parts.  My dealer went out of business after about year 4, so 6 years of dealing with the factory and that service declined every year.   Half the time they didn't know what was in my tub when it was built even with the serial number. But what finally swore me off of them, other than no local dealer was they stopped answering phone calls after 4pm on Fridays when they are supposedly open until 5.  Any calls on hold at 5pm get dumped.

I overslept Saturday morning and forgot to even go to the show. It was at an outdoor soccer stadium this time.
