Title: Balboa vs Gecko Help me choose please

I need to replace the balboa spa pack in my master spas tub.   I can't decide between the original balboa or the gecko.   Any information to Help me choose is Appreciated  Thanks !!

The original will be easier to install.

I would recommend Balboa only because replacement boards are usually less expensive and more available than Gecko boards.

I was told by a spa repairman the Balboa is repairable & the Gecko is disposable.
Seems you find a Balboa in more expensive spas & Gecko in the economy spas.

This is not accurate information. Gecko is still a good brand, not cheap, quality made - just not as widely available.

Thanks everyone for replying.   I can get the balboa board or the full gecko pack with top control for the same price.  I'm leaning towards gecko ....

Hi, if you're still deciding could you post the models you're choosing between?  I'm guessing the Balboa will be a GL or VL?
