Title: J-385 randomly turned on jet pump 1 then 2

Ok I know I'm not losing it because my husband witnessed this too. We have our hot tub set for 24 hour filtration so the circ pump is always running. Today we were out staining our deck and I suddenly heard the tub jets come on. I couldn't stop mid board from staining so my husband walked over and lifted the cover. Sure enough, Jet Pump 1 (half the tub) was on. A few minutes later (less than 5), pump 1 went off and pump 2 came on for about the same amount of time. I thought I must have accidentally set the secondary filtration to come on and not realized and just never been right there when it came on but I looked and nope, it's SF=0 and that only uses jet pump 1 from what my manual tells me.

We didn't have a power interruption so it's not like it was a start up cycle or anything. Any ideas what the heck is going on?

  It's normal, it's called a purge cycle and will do it every 12 hours.   Basically flushes the lines on it's own.

Thanks Jim! Is this is in the manual somewhere and I'm just going blind or do they not make mention of it?

 I took a quick look in the manual and dind't see anything either.
