I am in thinking about getting a new Sundance Optima. You can't find any information online about MSRP prices and the local dealer quote $20K for one without any upgrades (e.g. stereo, steps, etc.).
I bought a Cameo (similar model with recliner seat) in 2008 for $10K.
Can the price really have doubled in 7 years?
Does anyone have any comparisons?
Thanks in advance.

20 grand is insane unless you live on the moon. Should probably be in the 12/13 to 15 range. Jacuzzi is having a sale with an instant rebate of 400 on the 400 series. I am assuming Sundance is doing the same with the 800 series.

20k is crazy high. Start negotiating at a price that feels right/ comfortable to you. 11k - 12k could be a starting point. If the dealer wants to sell a tub he will meet you with a price that is agreeable for both parties.

Is that 20K US dollars?

And what country are YOU in?

Sounds like you weren't ready to buy and got quoted a high MSRP...very normal...bring in the checkbook and they'll whittle that down to 12-15k like quoted above

I just recently purchased one for 13k with stereo delivery and setup,

I'm, trying to decide between the optima and cameo. Dealer quoted me 10,700 for either with a 1000.00 instant rebate included that starts on the 15th. That price includes tax, setup/delivery, steps, coverlift and startup chemicals.

Wet test both to see which you prefer. I did and much prefered the Optima. The foot dome in the Optima is fantastic and all four corner seats are comfortable.

Oh, I wasn't asking for advice on which to get. I've already wet tested the optima, and my wife and I are going back together to wet test both. I was just pointing out the price that was quoted to me for either one which was thousands less that what was quoted to the op.

Orlando1,
Are you in or near Orlando?
We are starting to look at replacing our 1996 Optima, and closest dealer is Inverness...

Lol, I actually live about 5 miles from Inverness. But that's Inverness, AL a suburb near Birmingham. My username and has no relation to the actual city.
