Title: bumpy boards onm deck

My father inlaw just finished my hot tub deck and I am sure it is plenty strong, I noticed some of the top boards are a little uneven. Most of the boards are even but a couple are thicker by about 1/8 a inch, will this be a problem and if so waht solutions are out there?

BTW, I am asking this bcuz I read the manual and it says that the surface should be smooth and mine is a little bumbpy. Was wondering if a hot tub owner with a deck can tell me how even their boards are..

 It will probably be alright.   Only other option is to replace or sand down, if it were me I wouldn't worry about it.

ii dont think it will make tese even out since the high points are directly over the posts...

me typee bad oongh.. sorry about that.. Anyways the high points are above the posts so I don't think those will sag.. My main worry is "can the tub deal with the difference in heights?

  Probably, what brand spa is it?  Wood base, ABS base, roto mold plastic?

I think 6k is a lot for most people.... (myself included!)

You might be surprised what kind of compression that kind of weight can have on wood over time. The damper the air/wood is the more compression that will occur. This is one pro for fresher cut, not as dry wood. Shrinkage is the major con though.

Hose it down good before you place the tub. Is it green treat? 2 bys?
