Title: Hot Spring Vista question
Post by: craigswardmtb on December 18, 2014, 05:51:28 pm
I think we are going to sell our 2007 Hot Spring Vista hot tub. I have really enjoyed the tub but the reality is we are way to busy and almost never use the thing. We have had it for over 3 years now and I bet its been used 30 to 40 times. I have taken great care of it and have really had no problems. The head rests are due for a replacement, and the cover is starting to show its age a bit (waterlogged insert on one side). I guess there is a reason they are widely considered the best tub out there. My question is what is the market like out there right now? I was thinking of asking around $3500 for it (water feature, steps, cover lift). I thought it seemed fair given its reputation and what this thing originally cost me. Does this sound reasonable to you experts out there?  Is Craigslist my best bet?
Or perhaps i'll lose my nerve and end up keeping it. The wife doesn't want to get rid of it but it just makes no economical sense to me. With utility rates going up 30% come January here in CT I'm thinking we will have to part ways.

Sounds fair, but expect to be bartered with.

Craigslist is the way to go.  Ask for more and settle for $3500.  Show it full, hot and functioning.  Expect to sell it to someone who will come here and ask how to drive the price down. ;D
