Title: Beachcomber 740
Post by: beastmode on November 27, 2014, 10:29:31 am
Hi all!, my first time here, Im looking forward to learning a little more about tubs.

Im currently shopping for a tub. A friend has a beachcomber 740, which was purchased in 2010. She wants 4000.00 (canadian funds) for it. Is that a realistic price? or should I try and negotiate lower, Im not sure how long these tubs typically last either...?? input would be great!

Thanks!!

BEAST, GO SEAHAWKS!     I'd say 4000 is a ok price condition has a lot to do with it.  They probably paid close to 8 or 9 originally..

BEAST!! haha, they paid 13,000 canadian originally..its might have a few extras such as the moodlights, cover, comes with gfci hookup...im on the fence...its in good shape, used sparingly for the most part except for the odd hot tub party with 6-8 people crammed in it.
How long should these things last???

Should last as long as you take care of it.   You may have to replace jets at some point maybe a pump or some other part and the cover over the years.    So is it running now or did you see it running?

Id say your alright, might go 3500 and see if they accept.  Doesn't hurt to ask.
