Hopefully Bill will allow this on here for a day or two. I can't contain my excitement! Wow, fun times here in Kansas and Missouri for us lifelong Royals fans. I was around in 1985, but I don't remember any of that. I was just happy to make the playoffs to get that monkey off our backs--29 years of no post season baseball. But, here we are now, four wins away from World Series Champs. And to sweep the entire AL. Just crazy. I went to the A's game in KC and that was the greatest sporting event I have ever been to. Sorry to brag and take up space on a hot tub forum, but fun times. Any other Royals fans on here? How bout Giants or Cardinals? Surely the Royals have become Americas team haven' they? I don' think you would argue against me when I say we have the best defense and best bullpen in baseball!

I am a Dodger fan and will absolutely be pulling for the Royals! Go Blue!
-
And thanks to the Milwaukee Brewers, the Royals are in the world series!
I'm rooting for you.

Ya hindsight is always 20/20, but that was a great trade the Royals pulled off with the Brewers. Got us the AL MVP in Cain, and Escobar is solid at SS, and played every single game this year. Glad to see we have lots of people across the country rooting for us. Will be a long few days!!

LOL, good luck Doc. Not gonna lie, I wanted the Cardinals. I wanted a rematch of 85, and I thought they would be a easier out. The Giants will be very tough for sure! I like the Royals though! ;)
-
Let me see... The Giants beat my Nats.
Then the Royals beat the O's (our other local team).
This will be a tough one for me to pick sides..
The question is, can the Royals keep the pace they have set for themselves?
Guess we will find out shortly.

Ya Bumgarner was a Royal killer last night for sure. And big game James was far from big. He killed us actually. Royals must win tonight or it will be very tough. I like our chances tonight with ace Ventura on the mound.

Baseball is such a tough game to predict. That said, my understanding of the Royals is that they were a very streaky team, this season and they certainly had an unbelievable winning streak in the playoffs.
The question is, could that streak is over...?

As a Twins fans I know about mediocrity since '91 (ya we've won the division a few times only to get bounced in the first round) so I'm definitely rooting for "little guys" gooo Blue!!!

There not is Kanas now!

I remember that 1991 world series very well Twin Cities. I don't really remember the 85 series when the Royals won as I was only seven. But, I remember that dome was a rocking with the white towels every where. Didn't Kirby Puckett rob a home run from some one in dead center field. I remember cheering for them. Awesome series. Go Royals!

Yup that was Puckett in '91, game 6...remember the Metrodome had that hockey rink style plexi glass wall as an outfield wall

It's been a great series! It all comes down to tonight! Game seven! May the best team win. Go Royals!
-
Wow! It has been one hell of a series. There is no place like home..., there is no place like home....
-
And after the Giants win, they'll go home. lol
-
Nothing like a game 7. I'm pulling for the royals. As a Red Sox fan I know how it feels to suffer for years before finally being the champion
-
Well, as they say in baseball, I tip my cap to Bumgarner, and the Giants That guy was a Royal killer. The Royals couldn't touch that guy. One earned run in three games. Very impressive to say the least. So, congrats to Dr. Spa and all the Giants fans. Thats a helluva run they had. Still very proud of this Royals team. They over achieved, and oh so close. Great series and fun to watch!
-
I totally agree. It was an awesome series!

It was a GREAT series!

How bout those Royals! They went out and totally redeemed themselves this year. The comeback kids! So fun to watch! That was a looooooong 30 year wait, but it was sooo worth it!
