Title: Can I power up a tub with no water?

We are going to look at a used hot tub on Saturday. It happens to be plug and play capable. It is on a trailer and only two years old. I'm wondering if it is safe to plug it in with no water in it to at least be able to check that the computer is working.

General rule of thumb is to not power up a hot tub that has no water in it.
