Title: MY SPA WAS IN 1 FOOT OF WATER FOR 2 HOURS

My 8x8 spa is in a 11 x 11 hole in the ground.  A water hose was left running adjacent to it, water seeped in and the hole was flooded with about 12" of water which caused the breaker to trip.  I immediately removed the water and have left it alone for 10 days now with panel doors open for ventilation.  Today everything looks fine, but the GFI will not reset...please help. I'm in Los Angeles, California.

I would call a professional technician. You will need to check each piece of equipment: pump(s), heater, ozone system, blower - they will not usually just dry out by themselves.

You now have water where it does not belong - so check it all out before you try to power it up again.

Also - quite common in this type of accident: the conduit carrying power to the tub may be flooded.

:-\ I was hoping most components were built with some king of a seal and some kind of safety switch would have turned everything off...wow!?.   I'll check the conduit you mentioned.  Any chance any moisture just needs to evaporate?

 :) i double checked the circuit board and everything else-  It all looked good (clean and dry) so I gave the circuit breaker a go and booya!...I got power...everything seems to work they way it is meant to.

I left the panels off so any moisture can evaporate freely and I plan to test the GFI to make sure its working properly.  Thanks for reading my post.  Chas...thank you.

Hope everything works out for you.
Another thing you might want to try is to remove all covers and have box fans blowing air into the spa compartment(s).   Make sure your breaker is off before you do anything.
