Title: Pump problems. Need help ASAP
Post by: cuteasabutton on October 20, 2013, 01:56:34 pm
I hope someone can help us with our hot tub worries. Can't afford to spend any more money at hot tub companies. Too expensive. We have an article spa (coyote spa) the pump has low n high speed but once installed now is only running on high speed. I cannot get it to run on low. Does anyone have any answers on any way to troubleshoot n find out the source of the problem?  Also how do I check fuses. Thank you all.  Will wait for replies.

Sounds like it may be wired incorrectly. Did you install yourself or have a company do it?

White is common. Green is ground then there are red n black. One is high n the other is low. Followed directions on new pump

Reverse the black and red wires.  A fuse would cause you to not get any power to pump. Black usually goes to high speed terminal red to low speed but it may be reversed depending on brand of pump. The motor fuse is in the spa pack it self
