Title: To all Beachcomber owners...
Post by: Steve on June 14, 2004, 10:10:23 pm
Over the past year or so, Beachcomber had 2 minor issues that your dealer will looker after if this includes you.

1) Waterways jets
In certain sizes, these were a problem with some not staying in the port. This has been addressed and new jets are available that rectify this problem. See your dealer.

2) Beachcomber heatshields.
A small number of heatshields delaminiated on the underneath side of the cover. This results in large blisters. Beachcomber will give you a new skin and all you need to do is unzip your foam cores out and insert them into your new skin. Allow at least 2 weeks for any order of a new skin.

So don't throw out your hot tub just yet or feel the need to trade it in because of it.  ::)

Unfortunately, these weren't known until after a period of time as these parts required a period of time to show these flaws.
Again, see your dealer if you feel your cover is prematurely breaking down. In most cases, being out of warranty (2 years) isn't an issue. Many have been replaced that are out of warranty in an effort to maintain a high level of customer service.

You can always contact Beachcomber at
1-800-663-6557 or send an e-mail to
contact@beachcomberhottubs.com

I hope this helps and everyone understands that sometimes, bad things happen to good companies. The best we can do is look after our customers and hope that they have the loyality and patirence to allow us to assist them in making things right once again.

All the major spa companies have had their situations over the years.  It is their willingness and ability to take care of the customers after the fact that makes them survivors.

Beachcomber has an excellent reputation.

Beachcomber was not the only one with some jet issues. The material Pentiar used in 2000-02 was not too forgiving.
