We are wanting to get our first hot tub and was looking at all of the used ones on Craigslist but upon thinking about it we are wanting to see if we can find a nice new hot tub for 5,000 dollars or under. This way we will have a warranty, delivery, won't have to buy a new lid, etc...
I wanted to get some feedback from you all to see if you think it's possible to find a new unit for a good dealer for 5,000 or less.
Any thoughts of where I should look first? We don't need anything super big or anything. Just my wife and I. Thanks!

My favorite small "couples" tub (even though it is rated for 3) http://www.hotspring.com/shop-hot-tub-models/hotspot/sx#first (http://www.hotspring.com/shop-hot-tub-models/hotspot/sx#first) you can add a 24hr silent circ pump to that unit and you have a nice low maintenance spa, good insulation, nice cabinet, pearl color option, a couple nice seats with armrests and a moto-massage jet...check the reviews on that link as well, popular tub

Thanks so much for the reply. Any idea what we should expect to pay for this new?

around 5k (give or take a $500-$600 each way depending if you get it fully loaded with circ. pump, ozone, accessories, etc)

Check out the nordic retreat or the nordic encore se. Both are nice tubs. Www.nordichottubs.com

both good options as well, we picked up the Nordic line a few months ago and although their priced similar to most "basic" options they have a pretty nice product, their cabinets are much better looking than other similarly priced options and the whirlpool jet is a nice feature...relatively small company with good CS as well

Freeflows are built to last and very good value.

Have you guys ever checked out the Aspen spas? I got a price of 5000 for this model...what do you guys think?

I think most people say stay away from that brand.....
-
ok..just giving you some ideas
-
Thanks. Did you see the ones I listed.
-
yes,,im no professional ..never heard of them..if you are willing to buy off the internet check out costco
-
Thanks, but I'm not sure the Costco brands are that great...
-
costcos aquaterra is the same as free flow..watkins owns the company same company that makes hot springs
-
The free flow ones are the ones that use 110 thought, right?
-
they have both..most can run on either..110 1kw heat 220 4 kw heat..the milano is only 220
-
The dealer tried to convince me that their 100 models were "different" than any other hot springs models and I should go with it instead..LOL..from what I understand I don't want a 110 model, right?
-
110 will take longer to heat..and not hold heat as well in cold weather..trust me they are the same..of course the dealer wants your business..you can plug and play aquaterra and if its not good enough Always convert to 220..understand they are basic tubs ..if you plan on using the tub for "hydrotherapy" and stay in it for long periods of time it's probably not for you..but if you are like me and just want a 15 min quick relaxing soak they are perfect..remember for most the novelty wears off after a little while and the tub isn't used much..it's really up to what your expectations are..I currently have a 110 only tub and its fine fort quick swims..I am waiting to buy an aquaterra as soon as Costco puts it on sale

All the Freeflows are 110V but can be converted to 220V if you chose to. Unless you're in a very cold climate the 110v will probably work for you but you have the choice.

I found a mint condition 2007 Hot Spring Envoy for 2000 dollars. (Only 800 more.) I think this is a much better deal. What do you guys think?
-
You will save money when every you run 220 vs 110, plus it allows you to run a larger heater which will heat faster with less amps than 110.
