Hi All,
I am about to pull the trigger on purchasing a Hotspring Vanguard but am pretty wary that the price we are being offered is not fair. I am used to getting a little gouged in the high-price Bay Area but I would appreciate it if anyone can give me an idea on if this is a fair deal or not.
As I said, we are looking at a Vanguard with the Custom stone finish (semi-partial) and the Ace salt water system. The dealer has offered to throw in the cover lift and half the cost of the steps steps (stone-like steps, so more expensive), they have a deal on where the dealer covers the state sales tax (10% in California) and have taken an additional $800 off because the item has been in stock for more than half a year. So all in, delivered, taxes and all the standard extras, we are being quoted $12,150.
Anyone know if that is in the ballpark of fair?
Thanks in advance for your help.

I got a price on tha Vanguard here in NH about a month ago. There floor model which sounds like your getting was $9000. The Ace was a $1500 extra, and I believe the stone look was another $2000 extra (not worth it in IMHO) The cover lift was part of the price. So that's $12500 here.

Thanks Jac, that makes me feel a little better. This was definitely a little more than I was expecting. I suppose I need to do some more research.
Are there obvious comparable products I should be looking at?

I had a Vanguard priced out at $9100 + tax in January. No ACE or Spa Stone. Everything else. Cover, steps, delivery, set up and chemicals for a month.

Since they are paying the tax, and with the stone and ACE, that sounds like a good deal! That takes the price of the spa down by @ $1200.
