My in laws are selling a used great lakes hot tub year 2004 model manitou. Question is what is it worth they want us to give them a price but I don't want to insult them or pay to much, it's in good shape always been indoors, but it's nothing to fancy. I'm new here and hopefully someone can help me. Thank a lot in advance.

Don't mix family and money.
I realize that's not really the advice you're looking for.

It is 8 years old so you have to give it a range and then adjust based on what overall shape you find it to be in. I'd say 5% to 20% of the original cost, depending on condition and what if anything is wrong with it. On the low end, if its workable but has some issues and if somewhat rough then 5% while on the higher end if its well maintained in every way then 20%.

There are thousands of used tubs for sale, through dozens of channels.
I would not buy from relatives.

Lets see, that's about a 4500 dollar tub new. The minute you take delivery it's worth 3500 after 8 years while loosing 5-600 per year in value it's worth.......wait.......I'd offer them no more than 5-6 hundred bucks as long as it's running. At it's current age it is likely to need a pump and heater very soon if they haven't been replaced.

Pay $600 then charge them a $599 removal fee, your doing them a favor taking it off their hands.

Well I got it for 400 just brought it home will hook it up this weekend
