Title: Did I fry my control panal/heater? (inserted light plug into circ pump socket)
Post by: Mike32110 on August 27, 2012, 05:31:48 pm
I have a beachcomber 580 hot tub, from 2002.

Okay, so I just reinsulated my tub and was setting it up again, but didn't plug in my circ pump since the plumbing needing an adjustment and i wanted to test the tub first, so I put the knife valve down on the circ pump. I made the extremely idiotic mistake of inserting the light plug into the circ pump socket (it did fit since there were only a couple of prongs), and then made the even bigger mistake of accidently turning the circ pump on. I heard a weird noise, then saw a spark, and since then nothing has been working. I checked my GFI and circuit board and NOTHING was flipped off, so I am worried that I may have fried the whole thing. There are two fuses inside the thing, but I don't nkow how to tell if they are even blown. Any ideas?

Replace the fuses and hope for the best!
