Hi everyone,
Well my spa is in and running! Took 1st soak with the family last night.
I took a test strip reading today and now my MPS is low.My alk is ok and ph.my question is what is MPS and how do I take car of it?
Thank you iam new to keeping a hot tub.

 So we can get a broader picture what did your dealer tell you?   

  MPS is shock it can be used with a mineral cartridge but most will also use some kind of sanitizer with it also.  Usually chlorine.

  Do you have a ozonator, what chems did they leave with you??

What dealer said to do was add alkalinty increaser to bring up to proper level if needed.alkalintiy should be kept on the high side of ok range 110 120
Add spa 56 granular chlorine weekly and after heavy spa usage
Add renew non chlorine oxidizer weekly
Also add renew non chlorine oxidizer after each use
Replace my nature 2 purifier every 3-4months
Once a month soak filters in filter clean solution

Here is what he gave me.All Leisure time products
Renew
Alkalinty increaser
Spa 56
And calcium booster

  What he told you will work fine.    SO shock after use chlorine once to twice a week depending on bather load.  Watch your PH/ALK  Low is bad.      I don't always like where calcium levels on strips say it should be 100 to 150 ppm should be fine.

  Big thing is don't stress over the chems.
