Title: 3 year old J-365....whats it worth?

We bought a new Jacuzzi J-365 almost 3 years ago. We have unfortunately decided to split up and need to figure out an approximate  value for it. It is in excellent shape and well maintained. I think she is going to buy my half out of it and keep it so I want to figure out a fair price for both of us. We paid $8700 back in June of 2009. I was figuring somewhere between $3000-$4000. What do you guys think?

$4000 sounds pretty fair to me.  a dealer might be able to get more out of it but that's a fair value for a homeowner.

   I would probably ask 5 to 6 on the showroom floor.   Otherwise 4 to 5 would be fair.

Assuming its in good shape and fully operational, for its age I'd say 35 to maybe 40% of the original price if sold by a spa owner as is the case here so $4K sounds fair.

Thanks for the help guys. I told her I would value it at $3500. Guess I wont really be around here anymore unless I should buy one someday down the road. Take care all!
