My heater went out over the winter, I drained the tub undid my pump connections but must of still had some water and a frozen pipe leak. I replaced the heater and found the leak (I hope the only one :)) there is about a 3" long split on a flex pipe that sits at the very bottom of the tub floor.
Im thinking the best way to repair this is to cut the bad section out and pvc glue a coupling to join the hose? Would a barb coupling and clamps be too weak for the pressure? Is there a better way to repair this?
Thanks in advance!

What type of hose split, if just PVC cut it out and couple in a new section.
