Hey guys, I'm looking to buy a HotSpring Grandee spa or a sister company Caldera Cantabria spa, and I'm looking to see if anybody has any experience purchasing them, or if you're a dealer and would be so kind as to quote me a fair price on both or either of these models.
Any help would be apprieciated.
Thanks again,
-Shawn

Where do you live? Prices vary but hopefully someone can give you a general range or recent purchasers will have some feedback.
Try using the search options on this site too but pay close attantion to the dates of the posts so you're not looking at what someone paid for a similar spa 10 years ago.

I'm preparing to buy a 2011 HotSpring Grandee as well. I don't need the radio/ipad/entertainment accessories. I would like one of the alternative cabinets, but there's no way I'm spending an extra $2,000 for that. Without any negotiations, I've been given an estimate of $10,500 (with the basic cabinet). What is a good final price for this?

I don’t know the costs in your area but that price seems about right for the Grandee. The faux siding is a nice touch but you might want to just get the spa without any siding and have your own added if you want a true custom look.
Great spa! I will tell you I just saw a 20 year old Grandee and it looked like it was 2 years old!

My Grandee is 18 years old. It ran beautifully for over ten years. No problems at all. Since then the heater went out and the aftermarket ozonator went out. The shell and motors all still work fine.
The biggest problem I have with it is the top. They seem to be good for five years, give or take. Then they get waterlogged and become so heavy it's almost impossible to lift. And the place I bought the tub from charges $500 for a new top. You'd think technology could find a way to keep something that is exposed to so much moisture from absorbing moisture!

I live in NY and was quoted a price of $12,500 for a Caldera Cantabria spa. That's total price, cover lifter, stairs and chems included

That sounds very good for New York. I would defintely add a cover lifter, especially for a large spa like that and you'll never regret having a lifter. You'll need steps too but while I'd go very basic on the steps (or make some myself) I'd make sure the lifter is not a flimsy one since thats a big cover to be moving. Not sure of any other options I'd feel a need for.
