We bought a house which came with a 25 year old Athena model spa from AH Equipment (which I gather is now Cal Spas). Like cars, it seems that all spa models have gotten bigger. This spa is 48" x 60" and that's the perfect size for that space. We've started searching for replacement and have not found anything that small. I just want to be sure I'm not missing a spa which might be the same size.
It's sitting on a concrete slab which is a bit bigger so we have some space lengthwise but can't add to much to the width (the house next door will be too close).
We don't like those long cylindrical two-seaters. I think one of the triangle spas might work but I'm still measuring. We may wind up having to increase the concrete slab to make this work.
Any ideas for a good small model which will be used for therapy (I have arthritis)?
Thanks,
Susan

as for looking for a smaller size tub and looking at corner tubs, usually will be two seats facing the corner.....But if you look a little bigger roughly the 5 by 7s' it does not take up that much more space,,, but may be ideal,,, You might look at the D1, Hot Springs, Marquis, Jacuzzi, Sundance, just to name a few, also there is the South Pacific Compact, Freeflow spas,,, there are quite a few to check out,

Wow! A 48"x60" spa is kinda small. It's going to be really hard to find anything 4' wide.
I did some searching to see what I might find.
First thing. AH Equipment isn't related to Cal Spas. It's LA Spas (http://www.laspas.com). I've not heard of them, but if you're partial to the brand, they have some smallish ones...
LA Spas (http://www.laspas.com/)
Allure II (http://www.laspas.com/build-a-spa.php?model_id=9) - 60"x84" - 2 person, loungers (the configuration you don't care for)
Ibizan (http://www.laspas.com/build-a-spa.php?model_id=3) - 60"x84" - 4 person (small, but no loungers)

I recall a thread about D1's Elemental Series that may meet your specs.
-
Here a link to their online brochure: http://www.myelemental.com/brochure/
The spa is 60 x 60 but it appears to taper down at the base.

Everyone that has responded with spa choices is showing options larger than the 48"x60" request. This is why I initially didn't respond because I know there is little out there for a spa that size.
To the original poster, I know the last spa was that small but is that really as large as you can go because otherwise you’re going to have VERY few options?
