Title: Hot Spring Classic Model I - 1987 - Jet Removal ???
Post by: chfwahoo on October 07, 2010, 01:56:37 pm
Hello all, Looking for help/advice on removing the adjustable hydrotherapy jets on a 1987 Hot Spring Model "I" Classic.  I need to remove and replace the circular "wall plates" photo attached any help on removal (screw on/off (clock wise / counter clock wise).  also appreciate any advise on where to look for replacement parts (if available.  Have a inquiry in with the Mfg. Watkins, but no response yet.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum.  We have several long time HS people here, and I hear about this model a lot.  Good luck.

I could be wrong but I think there is a hex end  long wrench type thing that fits over the end of the jet and the jet screws out?

Yes, after I unscrewed the retainer ring and removed the "eyeball" jet nozzle - there is a hex nut located behind.  I unscrewed that but it did not seem to have much to do with anything. The outer face plate still does not seem to budge (does not help that the ring is cracked and cant get a good grip on.
