Title: Sources for Replacement Hot Tub Cover
Post by: katyana on June 20, 2010, 07:42:48 pm
The cover for my HS Vanguard is due for replacement.... worn out stitching and deteriorating vinyl.  Need suggestions/recommendations for where to buy a replacement cover.  Cost is important but quality is most important.  Am located in Northern California.  Many Thanks!

For an on-line source you can go to http://www.rhtubs.com/covers/insulate.htm (http://www.rhtubs.com/covers/insulate.htm) and look at their covers. A few people have gotten covers from there and had good things to say about them. I'm probably going to need a new cover this winter and plan on getting one from there as well.

I bought my most recent cover here about 18 months ago. The measurement, order, and delivery process went pretty well.  I don't remember how long it took, I know it wasn't long. Still holding up well.

Thanks!  How does the quality of the RH Tubs cover compare to the HS cover?

I bought mine from my dealer so I didn't have to mess with measuring
and then if it was slightly off have to worry about shipping it back...ect
But I hear www.rhtubs.com makes a good product and I am sure they
would help guide you through the process so it was perfect.

I bought replacement covers for both myself and a buddy of mine from RHtubs as I knew he was a solid source that has taken good care of others.  The price was 50% less than the manufacturer wanted so it was a good deal.  I am satisfied with the quality and am pretty picky.  The skirt was different than on my Factory Jacuzzi one so that was a bit of a difference (Jacuzzi's is a single continuous shirt) that kind of "wraps" around the tub whereas the RHtubs one had three different "flaps" but so far that has not been a factor.  So far, it seems fairly comparable and I would buy again from them.  Let them know that you heard about them on this forum if you do order one from them.

I certainly understand the sentiment. I did find the measurement process as it was listed on the website to be pretty good.  There is enough fudge factor built in to make it almost idiot proof.  (As long as even an idiot double checks at least once )
