I have a Jacuzzi J-345 and went in the Tub two nights ago and everything else works except the lights.
They worked a few days ago, but they are not now. :-[
When I push the Light button I can hear a sound like it is turning ON and OFF, but the Lights are not coming on in the waterfall or in the water.
The only thing I have tried was turning the breaker off for 20 minutes and reseting it. That did not fix it.
We have gotten alot of rain this last week, any idea where to start?
Thank you,
Shane

I am assuming your spa is still under warranty. This is when a call to the dealer comes in real handy. They can either give you a quick fix over the phone or come out and take care of the problem under warranty.

The tub is not under warranty, I bought it used last January.
Any idea where to start if I'd like to repair it myself?
Thank you,
Shane

What year is it? If you get me your serial number I can figure out what system you have. Once we determine if you have the old style or the new ones we can walk you through troubleshooting it.

Thanks guys. It is a Jacuzi J-345.
On the Box it says 04/8/2005
J345
Serial # OZD3LXD-100173878-30405
Let me know if I am off a letter or #. I just find it ODD both bulbs would go out at the same time.
Again when I push the LIGHT button I hear and feel the circuit going ON and OFF.
Thanks guys,
Shane

So your spa was manufactured 4/08/05 installed 5/28/05 purchased by Antonio Argyropoulos in Hanover park IL
As far as the lights go you could check the circuit board and make sure the connections are ok? Do you have waterfall lights?? Possible corrosion on connection there?? Worse case you need a new main light assembly or circuit board.
My guess is bad connection, or main light assembly easy fix for the most part. The old style waterfall light if you have it is replaceable with the new style which is much better!!

Can you provide his address, DOB and SS#? :)

I removed the LED light in the foot well and there were two burned bulbs in the 24. I ordered a replacement light for $230 and am hoping that fixed both the under water light and water fall light.
Since the Waterfall light is tied into the 1st floor light, do you think this will fix both?
Thank you,
Shane

Should fix both, curious if the light under your waterfall looks like a very thin circuit board pressed between the w,fall and the shell, or if it looks like it is all sealed in a plastic tray type deal?? The latter is the current one used and fails rarely.
-
I'm not sure Jim, I did not remove the light under the waterfall yet.
Only the foot well one, that is circle with 24 or so LED's and on the back side a 2 pin connector and then a 4 or 8 pin connectoion. Does that sound right?
-
You should just be able to look at it with out removing it.

Here is the Tub but not a good pic of the Light by the Waterfall.

Careful what you post on the Internet. Your disconnect is too close to the spa in violation of NEC. ;)
-
i saw that too
you could touch both at same time
or optical illusion
camera angle maybe
-
Could use a new divertor hndl as well ;)

I replaced the Foot Well Bulb with 24 LED's and right away when I pushed the LIGHT on it started cooking and smoking.
So I unplugged it. I may have toasted this bulb.
What is the best access point to trace the wiring from the circuit pannel to the light?
I think there is a short somewhere.
-
Not sure why started smoking, but it sounds like you have a bad waterfall light as well. Many times the waterfall light gets wet at the phone plug, and takes out the foot dome light as well. Suprised your dealer didn't recommend you replace both lights! I would do both when you do it next time. Good luck.
-
When I put in the new foot well bulb both the under water light and waterfall light worked.
But I quickly unplugged it because I saw smoking.
1. Did I damnage the under water bulb?
2. Do I still need to replace the waterfall light?
3. Could there be a short, what is causing the smoking?
Thank you,
Shane
