I know this is a beating a dead horse thread and will probably be moved but right now what temp are you.
I am on Long Island. Tonight I heated it for the first time at 100.
I felt it was too hot.
I don't usually keep the heater on but earlier today I knew i wanted to soak and went out and the water was like 92. too cold i thought so heated it up. now too warm.
my guess is 97 would be a good #.

Benny, I'm at 104. If you want it cool put in a pool.
-
We like 99. It is hard to keep it down there in the summer. It gets pretty hot down here in Bama during the day.
-
I am in Upstate New York and have mine at 95.
This is down from 101 in the sub zero weather.
But my body temp is 96.8 so I guess it would be like 97 to a "normal" person. :-?

Amen, Ours is down to 102 this time of year. We always soak in the evening, I can't imagine a scenario where 100 is too hot, expect under a beating hot sun in the middle of the afternoon.

I'm 100 - 101. I have bad knees and any hotter and I'm in pain.

I'm outside Philly. We keep our tub at 101 whether it's summer or winter.

Scott, in LV with the heat, if you turn the heat all the way down how low can the tub get? Can you get it below 98 deg? Pumps only no heat?

Central Florida...turned mine down to 98. When I first get in, it seems warm, but after 10 minutes or so I miss the heat. 102 seems to be the right temp for me, winter and summer.

One night I had it in economy mode and it was 96 degrees because the heater was off and it was cool outside.

We just started up 3 months ago and we are in Ct. We find that from 97-99 degrees works for us now.
We agree with you Bene that 100 + degrees around here is just too hot right now!

I keep mine at 102 during summer months here in ne ohio 104 during winter. I think anything below 100 isnt even worth getting in, might as well just sit in your bathtub but thats just my opinion

Must be an Ohio thing! I'll wave as I pass by next weekend on my way to Erie.

Like mad4sax, I'm in Upstate NY, too. I was keeping mine at 95 but I strained my back a couple of weeks ago and put it back up to 102. Ahhh....
As warm as its been, it's not using much electricity to heat it up.

96 was a little too cold. I just bumped it to 98 today.

102 in summer, 104 in the winter (Maine)

96 should be cool. I would think you would want the water warmer than your body temp.

I like ro feel relaxed but also refreshed too.

104 all the time. I tried lowering it to 100 one time but anything under 102 and the water feels cold

The tub is set at 101. I originally liked 104 but can not stay in for a really long soak at this temp.
Has anyone checked their digital temp with a good thermometer. Our digital temp is 101 and spa floating thermometer is 104. I know that it is not 104 but it definately feels warmer than 101.
I will give the spa a checkup with a people thermometer. If the digital temp is off can it be adjusted?

I can now say I was at 95 last night and it was perfect! ;D

101-102
Last friday I was perusing the forum and one of you guys/gals mentioned you do the early moring soak. Well I decided to give it a try. Saturday before helping the neighbor lay sod I jumped in at 6:30am, it felt great! So Sunday, my back and feet were killing me, so I got in again at the same time, wow! If you are at all familiar with Bullfrog Spas, I mainly sit in the ClusterSpray Jetpak, and that jet configuration will work out any soarness. So Sunday/yesterday my father in law took me mountain biking all around Park City, Ut. 25 miles and one sore backside later, guess where I was this morning before work? Yep, my 6:30 appointment was great. What a great way to start the day. Thanks for heads up!

I'm thinking when we get a spa ( :-/), we will have th ;)e temp around 95 in the summer, and between 100-102 in the winter. Hubby is hot blooded, and can't take the hot water for long periods. Even I get a little too hot at 104 on a cold winter night.
On that thought, maybe I should contact my Arctic dealer for a wet test!!

I had a problem out on the jobsite at 4:30AM this morning. After the e-mail rang my BlackBerry I could not go back to sleep, so at 5:00AM I was sitting in 101 degree water.
What a way to start the day.......

Thinking 102 is the ideal number.

My "bathtub" is set at 97 though, being in direct sun all day, temps can rise to 101 or better. I prefer 98 in the summer so I open the cover for a couple of hours before getting in which usually gets it just right. No summertime heater costs for me... 8-)

103 for me.
I love the morning soak before work.

102 summer,104 winter

I'm all over the map and still experimenting as a new spa owner (5 weeks). Outside, it's been in the 90s during the day and 70s at night. Lately, I've been getting in with the water set around 90 to cool off, then raising the water to 95-100 to enjoy a warmer soak. When I get out, I'll lower it down to 80, although it only "cools off" to the upper 80s.
One evening after a rain shower, it got down to the upper 60s. This was the first time I set the water to 100 and I saw steam for the first time. Felt great! Although I am NOT a cold weather person, I'm anxious to see how it's gonna feel during the cool season. I imagine the bad parts will be the time frame between disrobing and getting in the water, then the chill when getting out.

Temp is set at 97, but the actual temp per the factory thermometer is 99. Anywhere in that range works for me.

102 all year

I can see this is going to an ongoing discussion topic with my wife when ours is finally delivered. ::)

St. Louis....100-101...It's called a hot tub for a reason! ;D
