The dealer delivered my hottub to me and it is sitting on about 4 pieces of 1"x1" lumber so the wooden base of the hottub is not actually touching the patio blocks. Should I leave the hottub on these wooden pieces or should I take the wooden pieces out and sit the hottub directly on the patio blocks?
It already has full water in it and is currently sitting on these wooden pieces so I would have to empty the tub and then get these pieces of wood out from underneath and refill the tub. I just don't know if having these wooden pieces under the tub is NOT providing the proper support for the frame, shell, plumbing, etc.?
thanks

Who put the 1 x 1 pieces under the tub? If your dealer did he should come and remove them. All spas recommend placing your spa on a level solid surface. You definately are created high point loads and may not be supporting your spa properly.
The 1x1 may have been packaging and should have been removed. Any D1 dealers our there?

I think the dealer put the pieces under the tub so that it would be easier for us to move the tub later on (he had to put the tub on one side of the patio and we later moved it ourselves to the other side)
so the 1"x1" pieces under the tub allow us to get something under the tub frame to move it instead of sliding it over the patio paver blocks.

The pieces should be removed as I am sure your warranty could be voided if the shell cracks etc. It is not worth taking the chance. Drain it and remove the 1x1. You can do this yourself or have the dealer send the movers out again and you can flip a coin over who pays as he did not tell you to remove the wood. I say Ignorance is sometimes my best defense. ;D
