Title: Day 1:  2 soaks, 40 minues each
Post by: solo on October 29, 2007, 09:24:40 pm
Soak 1 was with the kids at 101 degrees.  I made them get out at 20 minutes.

Soak 2 was with the wife.  99 degrees.  I think I could stay in all day at 99 degrees.

Tomorrow I will truy 100 degrees for one soak and 102 degrees for the other.  I want to find the ideal temp.

But boy do I feel relaxed.

I think I have the water chemistry good.  Will check in the morn to see how my additions did.

We usually soak at 99-100 with the kids and we soak at 101.  Depending on the air temp, we may go down or up a degree.  I like things really really hot, but DH starts complaining at 101 that he's sweating....

Try 101.5º (unless you bought a spa that only sets to whole degrees!).

I keep mine at 102 unless I KNOW the kiddies will be getting in and then I set it to 99.  At 99-degrees EVERYBODY can stay in as long as the want too  afterall, that IS the normal body temp (98.6)...

Its got to be well below freezing for me to go to 104, unless I'm really sore for some reason.   So far this season the outside temp has only been down to 40.   I look forward to the 104 soaks during a heavy snow storm.

I'm at 102-103 unless the kids are interested at which time we drop to 99 or so.  However, a good 104 soak from time to time when it is cold out really does wonders.

I only like to soak for a maximum of 15 minutes, so I like it hot.

Sunday and Monday mornings it was 31 and 29 degrees. Today only 38.  :'(

I'm surprised our cool weather didn't make it to you. Hopefully you get the next round later this week. :)

You would be suprised of what a degree or 2 will feel like when it's cooler and the wind is at a small breeze I turn mine up to 106 - 107 then I'm in heaven

Is yours an older spa that allows temps past 104????
