Sundance at Costco Jacuzzi at Sams club :( Anything to spark sales I guess, most dealers are directing traffic to there stores. We were lucky we dont have a Sams club here.
From what I have heard the sales reps are not real happy about it.

Thats what happens when you are owned by a private equity firm and the bottom line is profit and units moved.

Do you mean the factory reps or the local salespeople?
Are they using NDS people at the box stores?

I'm confused. Is Sundance selling a spa at Costco? I've looked at the Costco website and don't see it. Is it the Avalon?
Thanks, Rich

Rich, I'm pretty sure it's just his dealer and his local Costco.
After takin a look at the Avalon I've come to the conclusion that the only way it's a Sundance is if it's a stripped down one b/c it definetly doesn't look like any of their tubs on sundancespas.com. I don't know why/how people would want to buy such a luxury item at a big box store. :-/
ps- Have you decided on a railing yet?

Thank you chad. they had all the big name spas there from sundance.they ranged from 5500 to 12000. no maxximus.

some manufacturers have arrangements with Sams and Costco that allow there local dealers to display at those big box stores. coleman has talked about doing it with sams but nothing has come to fruition. the local dealers pays sams directly for the floor space and sells over whatever arranged period of time.

No NDS as far as I know, just the factory reps and I am pretty sure they dont have to work it.

The costco where i shop has my dealer in there. they have like 10 nice spas there. it was also the sales girl from the main store that was there.
You can dry test the spas since there sitting on the floor like they should.

I had to go to Costco this morning to return something (not a hot tub).
No Sundance Spas there. Closest thing was a footbath. ;)
Chad: Still on the fence about the fence. :D There is a local metal shop outfit that I have been meaning to stop at to discuss the railing, but I have been so busy lately, I keep forgetting.

Up to $12,000, with no Maxxus? That sounds like as much (or more) than a dealer normally charges.

You know how they have the "retail price" 12,000 buy now for 9,000 ;)

I know dealers do that, but it doesn't seem like the Costco way of doing business.
-
This is what costco calls a "road show"........ They bring in other companies to display and sell their wares. Costco rents them the floor space for a short amount of time, and they sell what ever they can. It should also be noted, the warranty on "road show" products is covered by the company putting on the road show and costco has little or no responsibility for warranting "road show" products.

But it still goes through the Costco cash register and they get a cut. Costco also controls the margins. You have to truly give Costco members a discount. No typical spa sales bs.

But it still goes through the Costco cash register quote]
I'm going to ask if this is the way? it looks different?
