Title: new patio, new spa - web cam
Post by: scromey on August 16, 2007, 12:03:22 am
I just got my new D1 Nautilus delivered and hooked up yesterday. I LOVE IT. Still working on water quality, so I am waiting til the ph down works tonight.
I will post pictures later (after I clean the mess up from installing new patio).
I connected ethernet to my patio and borrowed a network camera from work. I may not have it on ALL THE TIME if you know what I mean, but it's pretty cool. I plan on using it to party with good friends in AZ. while they are swimming in their pool .

I see a lot of viewers, but no posters. Was anyone able to see the video?  Someone posted on another thread that they could not. I am going to work now, so not too much going on out there, but still would be nice to know if it's working.

I couldn't see the video, but I was able to click on the image link and see a still photo.

It wants to download a chunk of software in order to see the streaming video, which I ain't gonna do.

How about just a still pic?

Same thing.  I am reluctant to download a new unknown program for something like this.  My computer is up to date with most of the popular video software.  You may want to check on a different hosting company that uses more of a mainstream system.
Just a suggestion.

what software does it want you to download? I must already have it because I was able to log right on to the camera.

Thanks for the response about what problems some of you had. The axis camera does require a plugin to the browser, sorry I forgot that it did require that piece.
I will post some pics, but haven't had a chance to clean the whole patio up yet .  Coming soon.

My family requested that I turn off the camera. Sorry. It was fun while it lasted.
You can see the still photos in another thread below.

Somehow, I could see how the wife may suggest that! ;) I know mine would kill me if I suggested that some cyber friends on a spa forum could see us at any time in the spa. That would go over like a lead balloon... :-X
