Went and did a pre-site inspection for delivery of a new spa this morning. First time I've ever seen a tree growing on a spa. Looked like a Chia pet:

GEEZ.....I hope they plan on taking better care of their new tub!! :o

The new owner of the house told me that the previous owners were an older couple. The husband bought the spa for his wife about 10 years ago. The first time she used it, she noticed a couple of people fishing on the other side of the pond watching her. She never used the spa again. The husband died about 5 years ago. The spa hasn't been opened in 7 years. I wasn't going to be the one to open it. :o

I remember that rust color from the mid to late 80's, there was also mauve color that was very popular.

Term, are you going to remove the old tub as part of the deal?
Hasn't been opened in 5 years? :P
I finally had the 1800junk folks come to my house and take the old POS tub behind my shed away It was full of stagnant water) it had the worst odor I have ever smelled (smelt?), and I've been around septic tanks, and rotting fish. This was the worse. Snce it's a few hundred feet away and bhiend the shed and not disturbed, I never realized how bad it had become. It had an odor that could have only come from the bowels of hell.
I think you are going to be in for a nasty surprise. The deck looks rotted. It's ok to hold a new tub?
-
What brand of tub is it? (I've never seen one with a stainless grab rail and a custom cover cut out for the rail mount)
And how much 'trade-in' did you give them?
-
At least the cover is in good shape.............

You wouldn't get lonely? ;D
Ok.

I'm not sure what brand of spa it is. Here's a pic of the innards:

The new owner just came by and paid me for a HotSpot Sorrento. He has a load of lumber and is going home to rebuild the deck. Someone else is going to remove the old spa. Normally we would, but he is having the spa delivered tomorrow so he needs it gone now. No trade in. ;D

Oh My Goodness!!!
There has to be all kind of critters living in that mess. All I can say is get rid of it fast.
Good luck.

From the looks of that picture, it either flushed well (Kohler)
or was powered by steam (the stainless tank and pressure gauge).
-
I thougt it looked like R2D2's little brother.

It looks like a cartrige filter tank circa 1980. What a pain to get too and clean.
The hot tub itself?

Glocoma suffers prefer the super custome ganga hot tub over any other hot tub on the market.
B-b-b-b-ut officer, the hot tub is for medicinal purpose only! Honest!

That "dude" looks familiar. Is that the infamous Hxxen delivery person?
The one that got mugged?
Just wondering.
