Cover Smell

Weird, but I think my cover smells!! :D

6 month old tub, water is pristine....all the time...but when I open the tub it smells a little mildewish (if there is such a word)  

any suggestions?

Pete, I notice that once and a while and I use a bleach solution to wipe the inside of my cover and around the outside edges of my tub (where it stays wet, but not in contact with bromine). I actually think it is normal, just needs to be wiped down.

I like to use the spa water just after shocking it with dichlor. Just scrub the under side of the cover with a soft brush and super chlorinated water. This should remove the nasty smell. I learned this from hottubpoolboy. It seems to work well for me.
