Why Not, we're talking on two threads.  My "hippie sister" maintains hers w/o chemicals and I thought that was somewhat unusual, but the Jacuzzi salesman yesterday said he would show me how to maintiain w/o chemicals also.

BTW, if I b uy jacuzzi, should I get the optional ozonator?
Personally I wouldn't pay extra for it. Mine was thrown into the package so I had them hook it up. It helps some but not much. I get much better results with Nature2 cartridges.

I would want to know what your sister does.  The fact is that a hot tub is a great environment for breed germs.  Without some santitizer it will catch up to her.

Ozone does alot, but not all.

Any "professional" claiming he can show you how to maintain w/o chemicals should be questioned regarding anything he says. :-?

My dealer included the ozonator in the price of the tub...he says he installs them on every Jacuzzi that goes out the door, it is standard and not optional. I will definitely look to make sure when my J-345 is delivered. I ordered it 4 weeks ago tomorrow, dealer quoted me 4-6 weeks, cant wait! I just finished the 10X10 slab this morning!

re: talking badly about Sundance which he said was on the verge of closing down

Why would the guy say that?

Isn't Sundance making tons of money?

That sounds like a really bad slickster salesman.

What info can he provide that says Sundance is in trouble?

My brother would have a cow if Sundance went under....he loves Sundance.

There's nothing to discuss. One has to either use a chlorine or bromine routine, period. There are no other primary sanitizers for spas.

Isn't BaquaSpa considered a sanitizer? I thought it was, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

I can speak from experiance that that is just not true.
1. Thompson tech makes an ionizer (not ozone) that is 100% chlorine and bromine free.  It produces copper into the water at a rate of .5 ppm.
2.Dimension One has a system called "Vision"  If used corectly a customer dosent need any chlorine or bromine.  (Made by N2)
3. Salt Works great
4. Hydrogen Proxide based systems
5. Biguianide based systems (Baqua, Soft Soak, Free, Ect Ect. )
I know that a lot of people are into n2 and chlorine and if it works for you great.  But the FACT is that there are other methods of keeping water clean.

Of course they do...I was responding to a comment that said its Chlorine or bromine Period... no other choices.  I never said they were chemical free.  Just chlorine and bromine free.
