The windsock has another question?
« on: March 31, 2007, 09:37:38 pm »
Good evening everyone.
I stopped to get some pool shock at the local Great Escape and the salesman remembered me from a while back. He wanted to show me the last 06' he had which was a J-365.
He wrote some $$$ figures down and I think I might have needed a cold shower. It includes "all the goodies" as he put it. That being stairs, start-up chems, upgraded cover?, and the lifter.
It's a new floor model that has never been wet.

Before I spill the beans, can any of you give me an idea of what that would normally sell for? I'm thinking it's a helluva deal.
If so, I'll be there tomorrow to put a down payment to hold it.

Please be patient with me as I know I've been all over the place.

Here's my $0.02.

If you think it is a hell of a deal - then buy it!

Everyone's different and prices are different around the country.

I can see if you feel your getting ripped off but if you "need a cold shower" ... pull the trigger and buy it!

My tub was $1,000 less in Utah a lot of good that does me in NJ.

FWIW, my dealer here in the STL was selling that tub for $7095 back in Sept. of last year. That was right before a $300 price increase across the board on all their 300 series though. Where do you live and how much are they offering it to you?

Nevermind, I read your profile. You live in Wisconsin. I would expect our pricing to be similar as we're both midwesteners and you're not much farther away from Chino, CA(where our tubs come from) than I am.

Thanks to those who took the time to reply. Sorry it took a while to respond. As you posted tcbc, I live in Wisconsin right on the Illinois border. Did you end up purchasing the tub?
Anyway, he's asking $6450.
I'm giving the Arctic dealer a look today as I promised them a while back I'd come back in. I'm not going to mention anything about the Jacuzzi.

Thanks,

Skellman

That's ok.

At $6450 I'd jump on that as if it was Jessica Alba. :-*
Good work my friend. 8-)

IMHO $6,500 is a "reasonable" deal.  Don't expect to find a comprable Artic near that price.  The lower end Artic's may be close but I don't feel they are comparable.
...The gene pool could use a little chlorine....

Way back in December I was offered a 2006 floor J-365 w/stereo for $6,850.  Great deal, just wasn't ready to buy.  Out of curiosity what is he asking for a 2007?

As you mentioned (and I expected) nda, the Arctic dealer was higher and it didn't include anything. She said if I buy today she'd throw in a cover and chems. No lifter or stairs or ozone. She did say the Fox line was more of a price comparison. I will say they've (Arctic) been very cool to work with. But, so has the fellow at Great Escape.

I will have to check on an 07 price.
I'll keep you guys updated.
