Spa Umbrella
« on: March 19, 2007, 01:51:34 pm »
I was curious to see if anyone here had a spa umbrella with the base that goes under the spa. I have seen couple online for $300-500.  I have seen them much cheper in the stores, but not with the spa base....does anyone here have any recommendations??? I wanted to get one before my spa arrives in a few weeks since it seems like you have to have the spa empty to get the base under there.

I bought an umbrella with the under the spa stand from Wanda? I think is the name of the company. The umbrella is ok, but the stand is cheap crap that can't hold the weight of the umbrella and tends to bow inward badly under the weight of the umbrella.

Zep,

Thanks...thats actually the one I was looking at online....I saw it somewhere for $299 with free shipping.  I was wondering if anyone actually had this model and if it was worth it.  I did see a similar umbrella in bed bath and beyond that was only $100, but it didnt have the spa base....you would need to put sand bags or bricks over the legs.

Bought an "under-tub" umbrella with new tub (2004).  Like it.  Did an "off the floor" deal for about $200 I think.  Very solid base, no wiggle or bending.  Base allows umbrella to swivel (nice for sun coverage) and to be removed for winter.  (Base stays put.)

Good accessory -- recommend.

The picture Zep put up there is the one we use on the tubs we sell.

We've had good luck with them and they retail in our store for about $400.

I have had great success with Leisure Concepts Spa Umbrella, retailing at $499.00.  More than the one on for sale on Ebay but it is  from one of the most innovative spa accessories companies in the industry and a solidly made product.

The more expensive Leisure Concepts SpaUmbrella has a heavier guage aluminum frame that has been tested in winds up to 25 mph. The base is made out of aluminum that will not rust, the other is made out of steel that is prone to rust. Leisure Concepts uses the more expensive Sunbrella material that can be machine washed and has a 5 year warranty, the other has a 1 year warranty. The Leisure Concepts SpaUmbrella comes standard with L.E.D. lighting that includes two rechargeable battery packs, the other has no lights. The Leisure Concepts SpaUmbrella is the original, the other is an inferior copy. You get what you pay for.
