tub empty for two weeks
« on: March 09, 2007, 01:47:19 am »
My question is similar to the "inactive tub" post.  I am building a sunroom around my tub and my contractor says I am going to have to move it and redo my slab.  I am guessing it will have to be empty for about two weeks while the concrete sets.  Will there be a significant chance of damage in that amount of time, and what can I do to minimize it?  I have the Marquis Epic.

Power down, drain water and remove as much as practical, unhook electric, move spa to a location where it's out of the way of any construction, keep it covered.
Unless it's subject to freezing temperatures or sitting open in the hot sun, there isn't much to worry about.  Set it down on a surface that will support it adequately.
I'd take a shop vac to the jets to get as much water out of the plumbing as possible, so it doesn't sit and get stagnant.
When you power back up, fill up just like you did when the spa was new.
