Romantic LED Candles " Spice up the night"
« on: March 01, 2007, 12:14:52 am »
http://www.colorfusioncandles.com

I thought I would share this little secret of mine.  These candles are for you if you like romantic color light shows around your spa. They glide into many different colors as they set the "mood".  You can buy them at Kmart and Home Depot.  I found mine at Kmart.  I bought one and tried it out and went back and bought 3 more. They are sooo cool!  You need at least 2 going at the same time to get the full effect of the light show.  I bought mine for 10$ apiece. WHY NOT you are going to love this one!! ;) Can't wait to put them around my new Grandee. Gotta wait till next week.

TYPICAL eBay.............. from eBay the buy now is $67.15.......... from the manufacturers site, $49.95  :o
If you can't sell it on eBay, it may not even qualify as landfill.

Retired (mostly) from the industry after 33 years...but still putzing around with a consumer information website, and trying to sell obsolete owners manuals

Typical?.....Not hardly.

We have bought almost our entire office from e-bay
and saved enormous amounts of money!

I have found as with anything, if you study the market
of what you are buying you can get some incredible prices
on e-bay and many times tax free!

Of course everything on e-bay is not a "steal".

But here is a short list of the types of savings we have seen
at our business, not even speaking of personal e-bay purchases.

$6000 Postage Machine
On e-bay: $700

$265 Nortel Telephones
On e-bay $35

$8000 Copier Machine
On e-bay $1700

$750 Motorola Two Way Radios
On e-bay $150

$175 Panasonic Fax Machines
On e-bay $35

$600 Kenwood Two Way Radios
On e-bay $225

$40 Portable electric heaters for secretaries desks.
On e-bay $8

Sold two vehicles on e-bay, a 10 day ad in the Dallas Morning News
would have been $175.......e-bay fee was about $60.

So I emailed the seller asking why their candles were worth $17 more than buying them directly from the manufacturers site.............. Their responce, "Good customer service"  ;D I"m kinda supprised she even bothered responding.

There are some deals to be found on eBay, but they're becomming fewer and further between. I use to sell coverlifters on there, started every auction off at a penny, and consistantly got MORE for them on eBay that we sold them for on our web site. I still sell there, and buy a lot also. BUT, I do a lot of research on things I'm interested in making sure it is a deal.

Print cartridges are usualy to be found for a good deal.

Most used things, if they don't get into  crazy bidding war can be a good deal.

I got a remanufacturerd rim for my car for about 10% of what the dealer wanted (though I will admit it was improperly listed and I don't think anyone who would have been interested in it ever saw it :-)

We (my company) buy a LOT of parts for machinery. either for repairs, modifications, or building from scratch. These are usually a good deal, GREAT deal actually, as few people if anyone is ever interested in them.

There are though people there selling stuff ,that all they do when it's sold, they go to the manufacturers web site, order it from there, have it shipped to the wining bidder, and still make $
If you can't sell it on eBay, it may not even qualify as landfill.

Yup. Always research. As for the wrong listing,  there are website out there that help you search for, and take advantage of  misspelled auctions.... http://www.listedwrong.com/  looking for a used IPUD? They can help you.

Ebay is a great source for finding motorcycle parts for great prices.  Some of the parts I buy are used and some new from dealers.  It supports my engine building fetish by keeping it affordable.  I like to go fast in the sand... I guess its kinda like snow if you can relate.  When I blow up my stroker Banshee engines drag racing I can always count on ebay to help me out with some good deals.  I sold a 76 Porsche Carrera on Ebay also... it went to some guy in NORWAY.  Made a killing on it though... was very happy :)

IF ANYONE TRIES OUT THESE CANDLES LET ME KNOW IF YOU LIKE THEM OR NOT.

I found some a couple of months ago at Tuesday Morning on the back shelf for 2 bucks.  The colors run a a battery that is activated by light...either the light from the wick or a lamp thats nearby.  When not using them you need to keep them in the dark

Sorry I should have stated they also come in a "citronella" version. I wasn't actually posting a hot deal. :)

I do use Ebay but "research" is key to a good deal.

Those candles are purdy. That thread came up just a day after my B/F gave me a package of floating flower lights. They can be 3 different colors, or set to fade from one color to another. These pics are not great, since it was so dark, and the little buggers were floating, but here they are:
