A New Hydrotherapy Technician
« on: January 26, 2007, 11:00:37 am »
The East Texas Boat and RV Show starts today.  One of my customers recommended a young woman to work as my hydrotherapy technician this year as Hannah is away at college.  I talked to her on the phone yesterday and all I know is that she is 23 years old and only owns bikinis (I told her she didn't have to wear a bikini, she said that's all she has).

Anyway, I got a new roll of digital film in the camera, so maybe she'll let me take some pictures.

Wish me luck!

OK, I'm going to try something new:

I had to come back to the store to activate the free wireless internet service at the convention center.  I'm running next door and buy a digicam and try to set it up at our booth so ya'll can watch streaming video of the excitement that is the boat and RV Show.

Galen, (or anyone else that knows how) please post in this thread what I have to do to set up the video so all of ya'll can watch.  Thanks and I gotta go!!!!

OK - I asked my son. He knows everything.

He said a bunch of stuff that I didn't understand.

Then he said this: The only way that a bunch of people can watch a video stream is to go to a video streaming website, and you have to feed your web cam to that site. He said that trying to do video streaming on your own site, or your own network might only support a couple or three folks watching at the same time.

Otherwise, you can buy a (cheaper) cam which comes with software that will upload a new picture every so often. Just aim it at the appropriate target, and let it do it's thing. Hmm... won't expand on that.

The software does it all for you, and you can set it to snap a new pic and update the web site every couple of minutes, every thirty seconds, whatever your internet connection will support. That way tons of people can enjoy the show at the same time, though not with moving pictures.

Might be fun.

I'm going to watch and see how this works out, I would like to try to do this for our next parking lot sale. I don't usually hire talent to soak, but I would like to have shots of the piles of spas getting smaller, or the "Sold" signs being stuck onto spas...

Alright, I am live at the boat show.  I bought a Logitec QuickCam Orbit MP....it evidently is a robotic camera that follows you around.  Freaky.  I'll try to hook it up and holler back if it works.  Thanks for the info, ya'll! :)

Won't her skin become all wrinkly and dried out from excessive time spent in the hot tub demonstrating those big jets and comfortable loungers.  Chemicals can be harsh on a young complexion too.  You need a hydrating-lotion technician.  It is almost a medical necessaity-thus a tax write off.  What time should I report to work on my first day....mom is going to so proud of me......

Settle down, Buffalo Bill (or should I call you Jame Gumm). ;)

It rubs the lotion on it's skin or else it gets the hose again.

 ;D

Alright, camera is up and running and is COOL!  It is like a little peeping Tom following your every move.

How do I link it up to the web?

Can't you just login to yahoo messenger and turn on the web cam? Then post your yahoo messenger id on the forum and people with yahoo messenger can add you as a buddy and then ask to view your webcam.
