Spent all evening with Term and Randell. Went to dinner, came back to the house shot some fireworks off, drank some wine, talked fishing, hot tubs, had a good Ole time. Could not have done it without this forum putting us together. We are now life long buddies.  8-)

No Chad, But we did that too.  ;D Had a few M-80's that I had in the cabinet for a few years, that I needed to get rid of.

Actually, Randell, Term's boss, loved Kona. He may put one in his store. Kona was a sweetheart for him.  And we were on the cam's. We did go to The Herford House for dinner. Great dinner. Great conversations. Looks like I'll be getting a Hot Springs for the lake house. Hopefully we will be doing some crappie fishing this spring. It was a good change for them when in a different town. We here in the Midwest, try to be as neighborly as we can. ;) Term, took a huge amout of pictures which I'm sure will show up here when they get back to Texas. (next week). They still have two more days of boring meetings.

Our meetings in CA were only a day and a half.  Met up with Chas there.

True that - had some of the best weather I can remember in SF in winter.

But I don't remember shootin' off any fireworks, guns or anything else...

We may have to plan to go to the midwest meeting next year, sounds like they had more fun than we did on the west coast.

That's great that you guys were able to get together. It's so cool when people can communicate in this way and then get a chance to meet.

I've met a few off of this forum and it's been awesome! Mendo is a friend for life and if you ever get a chance to meet this guy, I highly recommend it! His wife is a sweetheart too! There's others too but the old crew don't post much anymore. :'(

When we arrived in Kansas City for the HotSpring 2007 Kickoff Indoctrination, a cold and desolate landscape greeted us:

We stayed at the Airport Hilton.  All of the Luxury Suites came with a life size Paris doll and a case of beer of your choice.  They sure know how to treat their guests:

After a quick roll in the hay and some beer, I went downstairs where Galen greeted me warmly:

Off to the Hereford House where I had a delicious 20 oz T-bone, a twice baked tater, and 3 or 4 Bouelevard Stouts (per Vlady's suggestion....they were outstanding!):

When Galen told the waitress we were from Texas, she acted in typical Missouri fashion:

After receiving a free dessert from the manager, we were given a tour of one of Galen's southside businesses:

My boss was stunned when Galen informed him of the cost of receiving a Happy Finish:

Being monogamous and of a pure disposition, I pleasured myself in the only way I know how...ice dancing:

Galen took us against our will to see one of his homes.  He had a live Amazonian Chicken living in his office:

Then we went out back and saw his spa, live and in the flesh (the same one on his hot tub cam):

We fired off a couple of M-80 firecrackers and his weenie dog took off like a rocket.  I chased him down and caught him out by the barn.

All kidding aside, we had a GREAT time with Galen.  He is an interesting man with a lot going for him.  He treated us like family and we are hoping to get to visit his lake house this summer and do some serious crappie fishing.

Early the next morning, preliminary indoctrination from the Elders of Watkins commenced.  30th Anniversary scenarios were discussed, operations were finalized, and then a wonderful surprise was bestowed upon the faithful when the Watkins Supreme Leader himself materialized from behind the curtain:

None of us EVER expected to meet Rev. Steve Hammock in person, but here he was!  Everyone was invited forward to kiss the Ring of Destiny and pledge their everlasting loyalty to the Mothership!  I could've died and beamed up right then and there!

The Supreme Leader gathered the flock together for a group picture as we prepared to participate in the Covenant of Kool-Aid and Cake:

The cake had been sent special delivery from one of the Faithful in Colorado:

After partaking of the Kool-Aid, we meditated in small groups and discussed how we could effectively spread the good news amongst the unitiated (sorry about the quality...when I forget to turn on the red-eye filter, our microchip implants sometimes show):

Back to Hereford House to conclude the festivities until late in the evening.  The nice blonde haired lady was more than happy to tell everyone just how close she had gotten to The Supreme Leader:

I had the Kansas City Ribeye this night, a night to remember for the millenium!

By the way, a sincere CONGRATULATIONS to our very own Chas for being awarded the very prestigious Above and Beyond Award 2006 from HotSpring.  I'm sure that all of the help he offers on this and other spa forums factored into his company's selection.  Here is one example of his willingness to help others I received via PM:

Chris,
Im the guy with the hurricane katrina spa. I just read your post of JA. I cannot beleive this guys is still around@!!

I cannot beleive he can attack you or Chas the way he does...I actually just tried calling you at the Longview store just to laugh and chat about it

I researched this board for almost a year before I bought my HS vista. I spent countless hours researching ALL spas, including Crazy Jims. I researched, cut my options down to 3, wet tested and purchased. No saleman sold me a THING. I sold myself.

And though I wasn't happy with the response or price I got from my retailer where I purchased my spa from for my hurricane repairs (they were under new ownership) what happens? A guy in California, who doesn't know me from Adam, offers to sell me discounted parts,  ships them to me for free, corresponds with me on the phone for techical advise. Why??  He stands to make little or nothing from me? I'll tell you why, hes got a good soul, he believes in the product he is selling. I wonder what JA would have done?

Feel free to cut, paste, edit from this post if you'd like. Bottom line is JA is scammer, and I find it AMAZING he is still around

Scott

Well deserved award!
